I work with organizations and businesses across diverse sectors to analyze, develop, and deliver anti-harassment and gender-based violence policies and education.
In Ontario, every formal and informal workplace must have an anti-harassment and gender-based violence prevention and response policy to meet the requirements of OHSA, ESA and Bill 132. I work with employers and boards to mitigate the risk and devastation gender-based violence can create in workplaces.
I have worked with several municipalities and their governing branches to analyze and recommend gender-based violence policies and practices to strengthen nightlife spaces and their ability to prevent and respond to sexual harassment and sexual violence.
Creating policies for artistic spaces can be complex for people without industry experience, as an artist and as a policy developer, I have been able to build meaningful policies and practices for small grassroots initiatives, collectives, formal workplaces and festivals.
Merging my passion for policy work with my expertise in child protection and gender equity, I am invested in analyzing and developing safeguarding practices to mitigate child exploitation and gender-based violence in organizations, missions or businesses where there is a responsibility to work with children or vulnerable adults.
If you are interested in working togerther on anti-harassment and gender-based violence prevention and response policies please connect with me!
I approach policy analysis and development with evidence-based best practices and view policy as the building blocks for behaviour, practices and culture within a space. Policies to prevent and respond to gender-based violence are living documents to remain reflexive, purposeful, ethical and survivor-centric. This strengthens workplace and organizational cultures and sustainability.
