We all play an important role in recognizing, preventing and responding to gender-based violence, where survivors remain at the center, and we commit to repairing and rebuilding together with safety and gender equity as priorities.
Since 2015, I have been working to develop and delivery evidence-based, survivor-centric, inclusive and transformative gender equity and safety training, workshops and curriculum online and in person. My approach to developing and facilitating this vital learning has been effective and positively received by many learners, partners and allies from multi-sectors.

This foundational learning is adaptable for the audience and sector. This session covers important terminology and concepts, explores the roots of gendered violence and provides participants with tangible, evidence-based tools to recognize, prevent and respond to gender-based violence in their workplaces and communities.

All workplaces are mandated to prevent and respond to sexual harassment and other forms of gender-based violence. This session prepares employers to raise the bar beyond compliance by utilizing best practices to transform their workplace cultures, practices and policies.

Domestic violence or intimate partner violence is not a private issue; it is an occupational hazard in the workplace. Learn how to support employees who are experiencing gender-based violence and develop a responsive practice and policies to meet employment standards and keep everyone safer.

This session focuses on developing awareness of digital safety and technology-facilitated gender-based violence. Sharing valuable skills and knowledge in digital and online safety practices helps workplaces and individuals stay safer online.

With the rise of polarization, identity-based attacks and misinformation, it is vital to educate and advocate for gender equity and inclusion in and out of the workplace. This session provides workpalces, schools and health care sectors specifically with insights, tools and practices to create gender-affirming and inclusive spaces.

The term "Burnout" is being used more and more frequently in diverse workplaces across Canada. This session helps leaders and decision makers understand what Burnout is from a holistic and evidence-based perspective. We demystify information, explore roots of burnouts and learn various tools to mitigate and prevent burnout orgnaizationally, culturally and within our policies and practices.

Gender-based violence is everyone's concern and everyone has a vital role to play in preventing harm and supporting survivors. Empowered bystanders can intervene and de-escalate, recognize and prevent harassment or harm. Learners will explore a variety of tools to identify, prevent and respond to harassment and harm in safe and collective ways.

Men play a critical role in ending gender-based violence in and out of the workplace. This session explores the power of allyship provinding learners with everyday tools to mitigate gender inequity and violence.

Grounded in Canadian legislation and policy frameworks and Gender-Based Analysis Plus (GBA Plus) this session will unpack the realities of gender pay inequity and advancement and why equitable approaches are essential to closing persistent wage gaps.

In 2015, we developed a program called Safer Bars and Spaces with the incredible folks involved at the Dandelion Initiative. Safer Bars and spaces has trained over 80+ bars, venues, restaurants and hospitality professionals to date. This program will always remain survivor-centric and survivor led, as it was from the beginning, and I am so proud to carry on this important work today.
We developed this program based on decades of living experience and frontline knowledge combined with evidence-based practices that help individuals and workplaces recognize, prevent and respond to gender-based violence. The impact of this program in Toronto and across Ontario was fundamental to creating small progress and policy change in nightlife safety and gender equity. And, today, gender-based violence continues to remain a serious problem that we all have the power to mitigate and disrupt.
